Recruiting gurus, where would y'all rank the Florida Five in the Texas HS player rankings?
I have seen him and he is a quality QB. I just did not come away with that "wow" factor. He looked under sized to me.I cant understand why McLane Carter hasnt been looked at even though he may not be fast but he is a type pro active style qb that has good hands and has good vision with his passing routes to receivers and a good arm
And these Floridians aren't players to merely fill out a roster, each has the long-term potential to start. Four members of the group are considered among the top 50 players in Florida this year. By comparison, Texas has pledges from seven players in the top 50 of Texas. The Longhorns’ recruiting class suddenly looks a lot better with 11 top 50 players from Texas and Florida combined. And the fifth Florida player, wide receiver Gilbert Johnson, is expected to verbally commit to Texas soon. He originally signed with Georgia, hardly a lightweight in recruiting, a year ago but had to spend time at a prep school this season after failing to qualify academically. Never before have I witnessed what I'm seeing this year in Austin. Texas has created the beginning of a true pipeline. Not a small one, but one of significance in one of the most talent rich areas in the country.
You can't say enough about how important this is for the future of the program. Being able to seamlessly recruit both Florida and Texas at will is relatively unheard of. Strong and Co. still have some work to do over the next couple of years to not only maintain but build upon the Florida Pipeline, but things are looking very good. If Texas, each season, can secure some of the best Texas and Florida recruits, you're looking at a powerhouse each year. Our Florida connections --
