2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Y'all that talk about Lodge and Burt, shouldn't forget about Newsome and Deandre.  We shouldn't forget about Hager, either.  I am really excited about him.  I hope that Newsome makes his announcement soon, but whatever happens, I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Hook 'em!
The best WR out of the bunch might actually by Gilbert Johnson. Johnson would be rated much higher if he wasn't a grade risk. He abused some pretty good DBs at summer camps.

Don't forget Townsend (a 4 star) and Hager.

I think Hager may grow himself into the DL.

Without Wheeler, we have Townsend, MJ and Cherry plus one legit returner in Hughes (sort of a hybrid - the Fox) and that is all we are looking at next year (+Santos, Jinkens, Cole).

I would much rather add Wheeler going in.

But you are right, even with so many spots, we are still going to run into a numbers issue.

Kai tweeted about 7 to 10 days ago, and in his tweet it was obvious that Coach Strong had his attention in a good way.  If I remember correctly, it was shortly after the Poteet Two committed.....

Locksley said Strong is the coach he speaks with the most.

This despite being committed to FSU for many months.

Doesnt that seem a little odd to you?

All those QBs to FSU never made sense to me and I always figured one would end up backing out for greener pastures.  Maybe this is the one?

Wheeler can play the middle and has been told by staff that the middle is where they want him.

So, without Wheeler, you've got an injury-prone and rather average Santos, then Cherry. So yea, I'd love to add Wheeler. I can see a rotation of Cherry/Santos/Wheeler.

Yeah Hughes and Wheeler actually have some similarities. Wheeler has the potential to be a hybrid type player at OLB/weak side defensive end.

That's interesting. I definitely see him as an outside LB, but he's versatile.

I think Santos needs to cut, in the hope of gaining some speed.

But I dont think there is anything he can do about the lack of lateral quickness.

Speaking of that (and to keep it about recruiting), one thing I noticed about Malik Jefferson and Tim Irvin in the film is that they can both cut and spin like Pacman.  Really exciting stuff.

Yep he needs to hit the treadmill not the weight room.

1-Higdon is reporting that Malik and Mack are rooming together at the all star game.

2-The Bama boards are saying that Sheffield's mom was apparently decked out in Bama gear at the airport. It will be interesting to see what happens if A&M misses on Sheffield who has been considered an A&M lean for over a year.

The last 10 entries for Tim Irvin's Crystal Ball are all Texas

He also said some nice things about Strong today

It's Bama.

BTW, he was never a aggy lean. That had to come out of College Station. He has had a very strong interest and relationship with Bama from the get go. Aggy has worked hard to remain in the picture.

When all is said and done, the recruitment of Sheffield may be the lookin glass into just who Sumlin is and what kind of Coach/CEO/recruiter/person he is.
