2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

Neither. I think he just wants to announce at one of the all star games he's attending. I can't blame him either.
games are first of January!!!!!!!!......commitment at end of January

I just hope we have room at end of January

The US Army All American Game is January 3rd I believe, but there are several other smaller All Star Games towards mid-end of January. I know they used to have some type of  Texas All Star game towards the end of January and I haven't seen the date changed anywhere. It would not surprise me a bit if Boyd and Hill announce together at some type of all star game.

The other thing is Boyd's official to Texas is late January with Holton Hill. Maybe he just wants to make sure he's comfortable with Texas before making his decision. Like I said above, it wouldn't surprise me if Hill and Boyd commit together.

If he cancels his OV on 23 Jan then I would be concerned. I think he may have just been caught up in the Malik hype and winning a state championship. He probably just needed a step back to take everything in.

Bobby Burton is saying Boyd just wants to take his OVs, but Texas is still the team to beat.

That sounds about right. I told my daughter the same thing when she was being recruited for track. She visited multiple schools because when would she have that opportunity again. Ultimately, she chose the first one she was set on. Good for Kris. Enjoy it young man.

I hope BB's hunch is right.

From all you recruiting gurus close to the action (since Jefferson & McNeal) it sounds like the remaining scholarships with commitments are filling up semi-fast.   I would think the coaches would let Boyd and or Hill know they need more than a nod / your in the mix statement to hold a scholly or 2  to the very end of the OV period for their commitment.

We will see.

You and Burton are probably right. So much speculation (on my part too), but this reminds me a lot of the Lodge commitment at A&M. Lodge got caught up in the hype after Murray committed and made his decision entirely too quickly.

I'm thinking Boyd was excited after winning the state title and seeing Malik commit that he moved up his decision. I'm sure someone sat him down and told him to slow down and make sure he's making the right decision.

I saw this post over at Shaggybevo and he makes a good point, "Lot of speculation here that can be easily explained away. Example: He was going to pick us. He was excited so he moves his date up without talking to anyone. His parents or someone else told him to take his visits to be sure. He agreed. He still wants to pick us."

Kris and his brother doing the hook em horns sign after his state championship game tells me what school I think he ends up at.

"Some south Florida guys have been playing pick-up football (7on7 type stuff) a couple of times over Christmas vacation. Among those playing include Davante Davis, Devonnaire Clarington, Tim Irvin and Gilbert Johnson."
