2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

When other head coaches are your designated recruiter and that's not the case at one school, you'd wonder why. Simple question, really. I'm sure Coach Strong will give him a solid explanation.

Also, he isn't a recruit that's going to accept money from a booster. That's not the way he was raised. We're running a feature story on him this week - hopefully it leaves y'all with a better understanding of his character.

I never said that he would accept money and I'm sure he is a good kid.... it just seemed a little weird question to ask Strong like he is above all the other recruits. ... but maybe I misinterpreted the meaning. ..

I would imagine that other coaches have said all kinds of things to get into Malik's head.  Luckily, Malik sounds like a very down to earth, intelligent high school senior that will simply ask what is going on and judge for himself.

If other head coaches have been his lead recruiter, they may have put doubts in his mind about his importance to Texas.  It's good that he has the confidence to ask.  I respect that.

Me too, but one can always hope. At least the Cecil Cherry thing is looking good.

We have a need for some stud LBs. Early playing time will be there for those who

Feeling very good about the Kirkland recruitment. I hear the staff is on him hard, as much as MJ, and view him as good as MJ.

Kirkland is a beast. If we lose MJ but get Kirkland and Newsome would great pickups

Cherry and Hager are 100% with us, right?  According to SHA's post above, we're looking good

with Kirkland.  Landing those 3 would be tremendous, as to LB recruiting. Obviously, getting MJ

would be better than tremendous!  One can only hope...but as it stands, looking good for Charlie's

first recruiting class!

Hager already committed. Cherry has Texas at the top but hasn't committed yet but looks as though he will. Cameron Townsend is committed to Texas as well and is ESPN top 300
