Bevo ready to take on Uga again

And now we're 6-0 and still ranked #1. Things get real this week as we welcome the #5 Georgia Bulldogs.

Georgia is not the potent offense that they were a year ago. So many weapons from last year are gone. Georgia has looked more human this year, struggling at times to dominate teams they should be dominating, such as Kentucky. Georgia got out of Kentucky by the skin of their teeth. Vanderbilt defeated Kentucky this week, by comparison. Georgia gave up 31 points to Miss State this week.

Nevertheless, Georgia will be the top offense and top defense that we'll play during the regular season.

Some other interesting games of note . . . . Miss State will host the aggy this week in what could be a trap game for aggy. Since the Texas game, MSU has been playinig good football. Another game I like is LSU visiting Arkansas. The pigs at home will be a tough game for LSU. Pittman is coaching for his job. A win over LSU would help quiet the talk.

Notre Dame vs Georgia Tech sounds like a good game. However, Tech QB Haynes King (Longview HS) was injured in this weekend's game. No info on whether he will play this week or not. But that could be the difference, IMO.

Nebraska at #16 Indiana could be a good game. Indiana is undefeated and Nebraska is playinig better football under Rhule. Still not sure what kind of team Indiana is, but we'll find out this week.

In some endurance events they give the last athlete to cross the line before the time limit a DFL award(Dead F*ing Last). While this is obviously not an endurance event, I still claim the DFL award for last weeks performance. We will see if I can defend my title this week.

Here are my picks.

tough week, let's see what we can do

Miami - Louisville still holds it's destiny in it's hands and came make the ACC championship game but they have to win out. Unfortunately, they are a break away from winning this one. The U ekes out a win.

Indiana - We find out just how good Indiana really is. 7 point favorites, hmmmm. I don't think so, but the Hoosiers need this one more. I'm going with the home team.

South Carolina - the Gamecocks are a middle of the road team. They're in luck, so is ouSux. The line is Sooners -3. Gamecocks don't need no stinking points. ouSux again.

Alabama - important game. loser is probably out of the conference championship game and will need help to make the CFP. I just can't get myself to pick against 'Bama.

Notre Dame - The Irish need this game and should prevail. Hopefully they aren't looking ahead to next week.

Illinois - evenly matched game. The team with fewest mistakes wins. Going with the home dog.

Colorado - Hunter makes the difference in this one.

Arkansas - Piggies take advantage of the home field.

Texas A&M - Miss State keeps it close but then folds at the end.

Florida - 2 teams going nowhere fast. Florida playing with QB2. If they lose this one, post season is likely spent at home.

King was hurt in their last game. Not sure if he plays this week.

Indiana
South Carolina - It's1:58 pm and 0U still sux
Tennessee
Notre Dame
Illinois
Colorado - Again, because I want them to lose, they will win.
LSU
Texas A&M - Again...because I want them to lose...

I'm trying to get out of the prediction business but here we are.

#6 Miami

#16 Indiana

South Carolina

#7 Alabama

ND

#22 Illinois

Colorado

#8 LSU

#14 Texas A&M

Florida

This will be a battle from the start. Both teams start fast and eventually the game slows down as both teams try to wear out the defenses. Texas has many advantages this team and our skill position players are just too hard to stop. On defense, Texas'LBs put on a show.
