Need Michigan to lose, that way the committee can bump them down to 10 and not get scrutinized for holding something against them. Then you need wash to beat Oregon. That gets Texas to 5. Then we need fsu to drop a game, which is possible. We need chaos - Tenn to beat UGA. Michigan to beat Ohio State but be forced to vacate their wins. Oregon State beats Oregon and Washington.
I agree.... but I would hope that this is not required for the Horns to play with enthusiasm and effort.Bulletin board material. I hope this young man gets to introduce himself to T'vondre.
Yeah. I think that's the whole concept of complementary football. Each side of the ball needs to help the other perform their job. To me it seems to come down to in-game adjustments. The initial plans are good but other teams are adjusting to Texas better than Texas is to the other team during the gameIt’s both, but falls on the HC. If sark is to remain play caller, he needs to remember as OC your job is to score points. Those points can be scored in an aggressive way and in a conservative way. It is the OC’s job to find that rhythm of the game. Just going conservative with a 20 point lead regardless of success is on the HC. He wears both hats. If he can’t get out of his own way, if the sark OC is causing the Sark HC problems in the flow of the game….he needs to realize that. PK’s defense is giving up points in the second half. Tge offense keeps giving the opposition more possessions without scoring points. At some point the balance has to be found. Is that making sense? It does in my head.
Oh I understand it is Taafe fault but when other DB are out of position it is because of PK. A caucasian can't play Db in this age. While Taaffe gets INT, he isn’t always a sure tackler and is bad in coverage. But Taafe has gotten enough INTs this year to maybe justify all the TDs he ends up giving up with bad coverage. He’s slow.
I’d way prefer Catalon. Williams also very bad in coverage and missed assignments all day.
Exactly… people are blaming PK. Yes his D has flaws. But our D is #37 in the country in yards per game at 337ypg. Imagine how much lower it could be if the offense stayed on the field (longer drives AND points). I think PK is fine, he just needs to quit the soft cushion BS. Right now, the offense is putting too much pressure on the defense in the second halvesYeah. I think that's the whole concept of complementary football. Although you are probably right did you really have to go there?A caucasian can't play Db in this age.
Hopefully the team will handle their business. Once all games are played this weekend, we'll see what else needs to happen. Too many possible scenarios still available as of today.
Agree. Stranger things have happened that what we need to have happen. That said, I have little faith we'll get in. I don't see FSU losing. I think Oregon takes Wash in their next meeting. But I could be wrong.
I'm not going to get butt hurt about it. It's still a helluva season for us and perhaps a trend changer for the program as a whole. Only a few here said Texas would end the season with one loss. That's exceeding expectations, which this program hasn't done in years.
I just don’t want to go to the cotton bowl and play somebody like Tulane Ang have starters skip itAgree. Stranger things have happened that what we need to have happen. Totally agree SHA. I just want the Horns to win the B12 CCG and give a big middle finger to the B12. Whatever else happens, happens. Take care of ISU and move on to TT.Agree. If you don't use bulletin board material then you're not using every resource available. My 2 cents. And players that say things along that line usually get a little extra sumthin sumthin from their opponents.I agree.... but I would hope that this is not required for the Horns to play with enthusiasm and effort.
To be honest, I like stuff like this.... makes the games even more titillating. I found the most interesting aspect of that video - the revelation that Iowa St considers Texas a primary rival.
