IT said today that all signs point to Texas "still holding the cards" with DE Colin Simmons after his visit to Baton Rouge this past weekend.

How long before Auburn and others like them convince Congress, SCOTUS, or even the SEC or Super conferences decide Auburn is too slimy to play with the nice kids?

NIL has opened things up. It can be done right or it can be done wrong.

Why do I think Saban had Hugh Freeze in his crosshairs when he and the SEC commish went to congress?

Haha, there were rumors at the time that Alabama is the program that turned in Freeze and Ole Miss in to the NCAA when they started randomly signing a handful of five-stars.

Plus, Freeze beat Saban twice.

FYI programs across the country will be sending out official offers tomorrow in the mail, and on social media, since it's August 1st.

It's a good way to track which players are still being pursued, as opposed to guys who received offers a long time ago and schools are no longer interested.

For example, Texas won't be sending one to ATH Hunter Moddon.

I will post anything noteworthy on Texas' end.

If you haven't watched this I would strongly advise it.

Sark compares his recruiting strategy to Deep Sea Fishing. They are trying to land the big fish, those are long battles and you will lose some. "We aren't interested in settling".

Makes a lot of sense, especially these days when Texas can be well positioned to benefit from the portal.

You don't want little fish taking up spots for big fish HS recruits or transfers.

It is pretty entertaining to see people getting squirrely with recruiting when the staff hasn't been offering anyone new for a reason.
