Jake Ehlinger is ready to make a name for himself at Texas. The Westlake senior had a couple of fantastic seasons as a linebacker for Westlake, which notched him some Ivy League offers. However, the Westlake senior and 2-star prospect is ready to create his own legacy at Texas and play with his older brother, Sam. Texas gets yet another huge PWO pickup.

Welcome aboard,  Jake.   Toughness just runs in your family,  doesn't it?

This is what I have dreamed about for our Walk-On program. We have 4-5 legit PWO that can and will help this program succeed.

1)great to practice against bc they provide great competition on the field

2)great off the field and in the locker room bc most (not all) bleed Burnt Orange

3)depth for injuries

4)it’s great for our special teams, punt and kickoffs mostly. Some of u around a decade ago remember Michael Ungar. Jake, for example , could play kickoffs, kickoff returns, punt coverage, punt returns, FGs and FG blocks while thumping at LB in practices.

Great job by Herman and company to drastically improve our Walk-On program.

Yep. The apples never fall far from the tree..hope to see more like this in the future..welcome to The University of Texas Jake!

I second this.

Screw practice player talk. I hope he grows and gets stronger and by the time he's a jr. he's all conference. Jake, set your sights high young man. You got this. Remember that kid named Baker Mayfield that had to walk on?
