Didn’t he hear Holgersen quit? :D
It was a conspiracy all along. Kendall was going to WV from the get go,  but Holgersen told him to sign with OU, let them coach him up,  pay his first year's tuition, steal their plays and playbook, then transfer back to WV.  Brilliant,  but then Holgersen copped out.

Oh, the possibilities of the wonderful new transfer portal...

I hope he goes to the NFL. Curiosity more than anything. I'm still not sure he's ok with getting hit, and in the NFL, you gotta be ok with that. You look at Brees, and he's he's a bit short, but he'll stand in the pocket and deliver the ball. You can't make a living rolling out every play. Compresses the field too much. Also, in the NFL you might get flagged 15 for a late hit but they aren't going to throw you out of the game. Teams will see if he's willing to play hurt and get hit. It's just the nature of the NFL game. It's still shocking how hard they hit compared to college.
It’s not shocking. There are only say 350 starters in the NFL. There are give or take 90 drafted per year. The power 5 graduate 600 or so defenders. Less than 2 players per team or drafted a year. Take the two best junior/seniors per team. These are just the guys that are drafted. And then feed and train them full time and if they work hard and get a desire to destroy someone physically they can make $100 million.  That’s a college player evolved into an NFL player.   NFL defenders are the best of the college players in a survival/thriving of the fittest.  And why it is harder to watch than college football.  Most of the fun is taken out. Sad to say but the only fun is if and when a guy like Baker Mayfield (very hard to say) thrives.  At least you can tell he’s enjoying the game

Has anyone heard if David Beaty is still working in a consulting role? I haven’t heard anything and was just wondering

dont know where to put this...(if I can put it) but this is pretty awesome....:

there were 129 defensive players drafted in the 2018 NFL draft and Poona graded out better than........all of them with a 90.3 grade. I did not see a mention of how many of those 129 were secsecsec...

speaks pretty highly of our ability to develop D Linemen...

Welp...

Nobody has been counting on either of them contributing next year. Barring calamity, we'll be fine, and even then we have Smith after Wittington (both electric, and built). We can make something work in a pinch.

Read that Patrick Hudson is going to participate in Spring ball.  I figured he would've medically retired.  If he is able to come back and play that would be huge.
Hudson will never play at Texas again. It would require a miracle.

Winter conditioning is starting today. They are fixin to be in and learn Yancy's world. I love to see when they start talking about that and how the younger ones are surprised by the whole thing. I felt like for years we didn't have a S&C coach, but we got one now.
