I could definitely see him being the #2 with Keaontay next year. His highlights from high school were phenomenal. Here’s to hoping. Would love to see him healthy enough to play the spring game.Thats why I've been a big fan since he stepped on campus.
he just doesn't seem to move the pile like you want. Sam does a better job in short yardage than Young. Young is just listed at 6'0" and 225 so he's really not that big but doesn't have the ability to make people miss. I hope he proves me wrong. All I know is we need 3 backs for next year and Ingram is the only proven talent. Somebodies going to have to step up.Whoa...isn't that a tad bit harsh? He's just a sophomore. He could become a short yardage specialist. He has the build and running style for that. JMO
I somewhat agree. Young is a mystery.he just doesn't seem to move the pile like you want. Sam does a better job in short yardage than Young. Similar to Devin Duverney and his Sophomore year. And similar to a lot of other ones going through a Sophomore slump.Young was solid his freshman year, even flashed a few times. Looks like he lost confidence to me. People shouldn't sell him short. He could really be valuable if he gets his mojo back.
Maybe he should be a fullback? I’m all for a power I look at times for the offense.I somewhat agree. Young is a mystery.
I think his biggest shortcoming is vision cause he's always running into the back of lineman. It's the lack of vision that really hurts him in short yardage. But physically he's got ability to run over people, so always left with the feeling he should've got more yards.
What's his 40? I'm guessing 4.6 to 4.7. His size alone will make him a tough cover and he has great hands, but not sure he has NFL speed on the outside. Sure he'll find an NFL future but hoping he gets the big pay day.Per Chip Brown, Collin Johnson stated that the NFL Advisory Committee advised him to stay in school. Says he is going to discuss the next step with his family before making a formal announcement.
Opinion: I’ve always felt it CJ was more likely than LJ to return to school and I don’t think this will hurt the odds of him staying Inc Austin.
I'd like to see that some also... so many defenses now geared for the spread. Mixing in a power look with Young opening a hole could take some pressure off Ehlinger.Maybe he should be a fullback? I’m all for a power I look at times for the offense.
I have to admit being a bit perplexed by the extreme negativity toward Young. Online - not just here. Sometimes these things take on a life of their own. What's his 40? I'm guessing 4.6 to 4.7.
