If he's isn't going to play the bowl he needs to announce his intentions. He will most likely cite the turf toe injury as a reason to not play at the last minute. That is a solid reason to not play if it is lingering, but will sound like a cop out either way if announced late. Hope he represents his teammates and school and plays if he is healthy.
The kid is an enigma and close-lipped to the public. But behind the scenes, he has said he loves UT. A lot.
He come out and say he wasn’t playing? Last I heard Herman presser said he “planned” to. But who knows..
Another year would do him a lot of good. Draft analysts I follow closely seem to think he would benefit from another productive year.
Haven’t heard anything to indicate he is coming back. He might just be going a different route and waiting until the bowl game is over to actually announce it, which isn’t unheard of.
Hopefully this means he'll finish what he started and return for his senior season...one can only hope
