Question - have we (once again) conceded the idea of completing passes to a TE?
Seems like we were going to to make it a focus back in the Spring.
And we know from his history, Watson likes using TEs to create mismatches and as an outlet.
But now, with no Devo and with McNeal getting looks at WR, we have moved bigger guys to TE (Caleb Bluiette/Alex De La Torre)
It gives the appearance that we are more concerned with helping our OTs block then we are using the TE as an offensive weapon.
Either way -- whether it's that the coaches determined tackles need the help or that none of the roster TEs can run routes/catch passes -- its frustrating.
Underneath it all is a stunning, long-term recruiting failure.
The end result is that we are hurting ourselves and helping our opponents by not forcing them to account for the TE as a receiving threat.
