2016 Recruiting - Week #24-26

Of course it can be discussed here. With the proliferation of Twitter users, most breaking news isn't even attributed to the correct person.

What we're talking about is copy/pasting premium content from another site. There's a huge gap between:

- XYZ is reporting ABC

and

- Copy/pasting XYZ's story on ABC
Okay, here's a scenario I would like for you to weigh in on:

There's a longtime member on OB who continually posts premium "articles" into their discussion forums (one thread in particular) and he/she is never rebuked or had his/her posts deleted. As I am not a member, I don't know the validity of the posts, but he/she usually ascribes it to an OB writer and never with a link.

Whenever I copy/paste one these posts to another site, I always provide the link to that thread and not to the actual "article" (again, I don't have access to the "article") so as to let the reader determine the validity for him/herself.

If I did that here, would it be allowed?

Holy Mother of God, please don't do that.

I'm not following you....are you talking about an OB member that posts on HornSports?

Obviously you want this to be private. If you prefer to send a P.M., go for it. (NOTE: I'll be on campus until lunchtime for Strong's pre-camp press conference)

No. The OB member posts OB premium content (I assume since I can't read their premium content) without links on the OB message boards with impunity. So, if I were to cut/paste and link to his posts here at HS, would that be allowed by you guys?

Gotcha. If an OB premium member is copy/pasting premium OB content on their own free board, let's leave it over there.

You're more than welcome to read/regurgitate something in discussion over here, but if it's originally premium content over there, let's leave it be.

Just read an article where Deontay Anderson said LSU is his dream school and called them DBU. The young man is clearly delusional. Hopefully someone knocks some sense into him this year.

I was looking forward to Devonaire Clarington beasting on the field. He would of been a great addition.
