Thoughts / comments:

Kind of surprised UT is still in the Top 25 after the last 2 weeks

WS thankfully has a losing record

Josh Sawyer ERA is an eye brow raising 4.50

Chase Williams ERA is a nasty 8.78

Hey, this could be the game to get things turned around.  I like the Horns chances in this one!

Texas batters have feasted on weak pitchers. XBH should be on tap tonight.

we must not have seen the same games.  looking into the ol' crystal ball for the evening, here's the view:

if tonight goes to form, we will be three up/three down in the first three innings, break out the whuppin' stick for a single in the fourth, maybe get a leadoff double (dying at third after the sac to move them over) in the fifth, then break thru for a run in the sixth and a couple in the seventh.

we'll go into the ninth with a 1 run lead.  we'll give that up on a two out walk, a passed ball and two balks, and then win in the 12th, dog piling the walk off batter, kacy clemens, after his infield single (but it looks like a line drive in the scorebook)--thus breaking the losing streak and raising everyones' hopes going into the weekend series with OU.

given the late start, i don't see this game ending until around midnite.

we'll have eight hits in 12 innings, lowering our team BA only slightly to .246 for the year, and we will leave 28 runners on base, twenty of them in scoring position.

WSU pitchers will issue 12 walks and get 12 K's (6 of them looking).

Warm & windy evening here at the Disch. Big board says 82 degrees and the flagpoles say it's blowing in from LCF.

Lineup cards are in at home plate & the anthem was sung.

It's time for baseball & a slumpbuster...

Texas wearing white jerseys with burnt orange pinstripes, matching pants, burnt orange undersleeves and socks, white caps with orange bills

Wichita State wearing gray jerseys, gray pants, black caps with yellow front triangle like Cotcher loves, and black socks.

Cotcher at the helm tonight, as joeywa has a date night with mrs joeywa.  Gotta do my due diligence before I head out of town tomorrow.

And Slim, your favorite, Tim Henderson, is the Blue at 2B tonight.  Expect 6 blown calls up the middle this evening.

Ran into Slim on the way into the ballpark. I tolerated it because he outkicked his coverage with the company he was keeping.
