At BJ's Brewhouse in Brea, CA with an associate. It's a sports pub/pizza chain in CA. Multiple big screen TVs.

Asked about the NCAA Championship game to be put on the TV. Asked 7 times. FINALLY it gets put on the TV over the bar, but picture-in-picture. Asked to have it put on the big screen...again, and it is now up. Waitress says, "all you have to do is ask." Umm, hello?! We've asked NUMEROUS times for this to happen. Geezus.

We have BJ's in Texas too but I cannot imagine walking in to my local BJ's on the night of the NCAA Basketball Championship and it NOT being front and center on the big screen.  What was on the tube that she had to change it from?  Do I want to know?

That makes it worse, IMO. If they know there's sports on, then ya think the biggest event of the night would be highlighted in their ops guide.

Not that it matters, but Damion Mandola was arrested twice recently for breaking in twice to the winery next to his restaurant in Hayes County and stealing a bottle of wine with a golf cart and a hammer and such ... well, seems to make as much sense as the rest of this thread.

What I have notice is that alot of establishments are calling themselves sports bars just becasue they have a couple of big screens throughout the resturant.
