My money is on back right after Texas State. Probably could've been back Texas State but held out for precautionary reasons. Just my hunch.

That's what I'm hearing... I think Sports-Doctor Google is tellling people that this is the norm for a football player.

I'm hearing Goosby lkely misses the Texas State game.

Gerry thinks the replacement will be either Jordan Coleman or Jonte Newman but Andre Cojoe took the most snaps at LT on Tuesday.

If he is going to miss the one game then I think they try to piece it together with a backup LT. If it was going to be long term I think they'd move Baker and put Hutson back at guard.

A little nugget on Andre Cojoe from Jordan Scruggs . . . Too many folks forget he skipped a year of school growing up and was already young for his grade, and to the point where he enrolled at Texas in Jan. of 2023 as a 16 year old. He's going into his 4th year on campus and is still only 20 years old.

– Jonah Williams and Kobe Black continue to impress at safety.

– Brad Spence and Justis Terry have returned to practice (flu).

– Offense continues to run the Pony Package a lot. This is a formation which has two RBs on the field at the same time. Not the traditional RB-FB style.

– Baker looking good pulling from his RG spot.

Jonte Newman? First time I've heard his name mentioned.

He has great feet, quickness, moves really well for a big man.. OTF says he has put together impressive practices and has the coaches attention. Probably the most athletic OL we have outside of Goosby.

Too many folks forget he skipped a year of school growing up and was already young for his grade, and to the point where he enrolled at Texas in Jan. of 2023 as a 16 year old. He's going into his 4th year on campus and is still only 20 years old.

I also remember that as a redshirt freshman, he was running ahead of Brandon Baker before going down with a season ending knee injury in the preseason. He obviously is a very talented OL, and if his knee is fully recovered may be a starter at left or right tackle next year.
