SignUp Now!Texas hasn't had this height on its roster in a long time..This roster is completely different in composition from last year. Lots of length!
Yes. I've always thought that was a weakness of Texas teams. They may have 1 or 2 players with some height but couldn't compete against teams with a real center or tall PFs.Texas hasn't had this height on its roster in a long time..
The 2025-2026 non-coference schedule is out:
Tues. Nov. 4th we play Duke in the Dick Vitale Inviational (Charlotte, N.C.) (a non-neutral site that is supposed to be a neutral site)
Followed by Lafayette, Fairleigh Dickinson, Kansas City, Rider all in Austin.
Then we go to Maui Inviational Nov 24th-26th. We start with Arizona State. (Rest of the field is Boise State, N.C. State, Seton Hall, USC, Washington State, and Chaaminade)
Followed by Dec. ACC/SEC Challenge with Virginia coming to Austin
Then Southern visits before heading to UConn.
Last 2 opponents are Le Moyne and Maryland Eastern Shore.
Would love to be 10-3 or better going into conference. The 2025-2026 non-coference schedule is out:

I had to double check on some of these opponents.Lots of those are schools I've never heard of.
I agree that we can't lose to any of these mid-majors.Would love to be 10-3 or better going into conference.
Probable losses on the road to Duke and Uconn, plus going 2-1 at least in Maui. Virginia was terrible last year so I hope we can beat them at home.
Losses to any of those mid majors would be rough.

So, Mark had off season shoulder surgery and just recently was cleared for non-contact play. But neither him nor Traore have been cleared for contact play. Per Coach Miller.
With Mark coming off shoulder surgery and is at least a couple of weeks away from possibly being cleared for contact play; then not certain he starts as a go to player. Swain could be. League play is where both need to be healthy and be a 1-2 punch as go to players with a big. This looks like the pieces of a solid team. Good length and athleticism. Who is the go to guy on this? Mark? Swain maybe?
First game is still 2 two and a half months out.The basketball players and their numbers
