Oh wait who said the ACC had a better a record vs the SEC? LOL Yea well I think this game and USC wins puts all those weak arguments to rest.
What I posted is at the end of the regular season, the ACC did in fact have a winning record against the $ec this year. Even with the Georgia arse kicking of FSU, that still might be true since Clemson beat Kentucky.

From a margin of victory perspective, the worst loss in a bowl game was LSU defeated Purdue 63-7. Well at least according to Google.

That record will probably be broken today.
TCU got beat in Natty last year 65-7, they now hold the 1st and 2nd largest victory margins

Sigh.....

I dont really care about those games or teams. Whether or not NC beats SC is pretty meaningless to me. The best teams in the SEC would, should, and did spank the shit out of the best teams in the ACC.

Well FSU beat LSU....haha. Doesnt matter FSU is not good. Even Georgia's 2nd and 3rd stringers whipped their ass. Its not even a contest really. Bama would shit on them too.

This tweet didnt age well.

My point is Georgia has more of an argument to be in the CFP than FSU does.

I believe only 4-5 teams in the ACC even had a winning record in conference play out of 14 teams. Thats pretty sad.

No need to sigh, I have no argument with your point about Georgia. However, that's different than conference records because that takes in all teams.

Nah brother the sigh wasnt meant to be disrespectful to you but more to whole FSU "deserves" to be in the CFP

Yea I get the conference thing, some people care about that stuff. I dont unless its the hapless ags losing to okie lite.

I am talking more in terms of the best teams overall. The ones going to the CFP or teams that should be in. Any of the teams in the CFP would destroy FSU. So I am grateful they didnt get in. It would have been a wasted spot.

Honestly I cant stand the Big 12 especially this year after the Yormack stuff. Gundy Coach of the year? LOL Good Riddance.

We are a part of the SEC next year so that where my interest is now.

I was waiting for this excuse.

Yea they have lots of starters out but it would not matter. They still get whipped with the team they fielded vs Louisville.

Face it the ACC is weak. Go undefeated in crap conference doesnt mean you are in top 4 teams in the nation.

Louisville should not be top 20. USC, 7-4, proved that much already. FSU I might put at 15 because they are undefeated....well atleast for another 30 min or so, but even with Travis I still dont believe they are top 4 team.

Each to his own but their slip is showing.
Has nothing to do with being an "excuse" even though its a legit problem.. it moreso has to do with us getting sh*t NY6 bowl games.

Either way, the 12 team playoff solves this problem for us starting next year, so oh well.

The entire bowl system outside of the CFP is meaningless. You cant blame the players for not wanting to play in meaningless games and risk their NFL futures.

FSU having holdouts would not have mattered. They would have still lost. Even with Travis at QB they still lose that game. So no its not a legit problem for FSU. Georgia was spanking them with a RS freshman QB and 3rd stringers. Maybe now they have an excuse for the pounding they took, so they should be grateful for that at least.

FSU is highly overrated just like the rest of the teams in the ACC. I was never on the FSU train, never bought into them. It ended just like I thought it would.

Maybe Rick Scott should have second thoughts about questioning the CFP committee now

Totally disagree with this. Missing players absolutely matters. Here's an example. Bijan and Roschon skipped the bowl game last year. Guess what, we lost because 60% of our offense opt-ed out.

FSU's defense, I believe only 1 starter played. That definitely matters.

Read an articulate after the game that Kirby said CFB has to do something with the opt outs and transfers before bowl games. Kinda ironic when his own team did it in 2019 sugar bowl and after the game “Texas only one because opt outs”.(Sony Michel and Nick Chubb)

He isn’t wrong but can’t talk like his program hasn’t had kids do the same. Kudos for
Most of them playing this year though

You constantly speaking in absolutes makes it difficult to take what you say seriously sometimes. Saying an FSU team at full strength would have no shot at beating Georgia is just silly, and getting the result you expected when FSU had 25+ opt-outs doesn't mean much. My point is that im annoyed that we dont even get the chance to see it. Of course I don't blame the players for not putting their NFL futures at risk. That's just common sense.

Point being, ive been watching college football since the 90s (im a young buck compared to most here it seems 😂), and maybe it's different for some people, but I love the sport of college football across the board and hate seeing what the Bowl season has turned into, especially after all the great NY6/BCS bowl games we got during the 2000s (I mean, how great were those Rose Bowl and Fiesta bowl wins over Michigan and Ohio St when players weren't opting out and it was the best vs the best, among other great BCS bowl game matchups, right?).

Again, the 12 team playoff is on the way so we'll be getting more postseason games that matter which is great. As a fan of the sport in general, I just hate how it played out since the CFP started almost a decade ago and how it ultimately became "natty or bust" for the players, media, and fans.

This.

The 12 team playoff will result in more meaningful games which will be good. Bowls games other than those will continue to suck.

We lost by 7 last year.

FSU’s offense was there and they scored three points and lost by 60.

The 12 team playoff helps but the arguments will then become who gets the first round bye and whether it will be helpful to play early and get the rust off or to rest an extra week and avoid injuries with the bye. If they would take a week off and then immediately go into an 8 or 16 team play off, all questions would be resolved. Send consultation fees to Coot's Solutions.
