SignUp Now!He threw for a pair of TDs. You didn't mention that. Not sure how accurate it is to say Washington/Penix killed Texas last year in the bowl game.
Washington won by 7 points.
Washington outgained Texas by 25 yards total in the game. But it took them 18 more plays to do so.
Michael Penix was 32-59 for 287 yards.
Penix's completion rate was 59.3% which is okay at best.
Penix's yards per attempt was 5.3 which is pretty putrid.
Penix's yards per completion was 8.9 which isn't very good.
Penix's Passer Rating was 112.4 which is flat-out horrible.

We scored a junk FG in the last minute or it would have been more.
They had 25 First Downs. We had 19
They occupied the clock 35:46. We only had it 24:14
Washington spotted Texas a turnover and still won.
They are better this year than they were last year. Their receiving corps is tops in the country and our secondary would have big trouble dealing with them.
When Sark took this job, he was basically on probation to prove that he had put his personal issues behind him and the salary reflected that. Dude has more than proven himself and is due a substantial raise
So you’re ready for Sark to leave… if we do nothing, he’ll be gone.Win 9+ next year and pay him $10mm+ but we should not extend without multiple successful seasons.
In fact, first win the big 12 championship Saturday then prove it wasn’t a fluke with a solid 2024 season. If QE3 is coming back, we should be loaded again.
You're such a drama queen. 257 yards, two TDs, and winning the game isn't borderline terrible. Exaggeration only hurts the point you're trying to make. The fact remains that Michael Penix did not kill Texas in the bowl game last year. His numbers were borderline terrible.
Aside from the CFP, other bowl games are nothing more than exhibitions. Due to players transferring, retiring, entering the draft, etc, the remaining team does not reflect the real team during the season. Fun to watch, but the outcomes are fairly irrelevant. You're such a drama queen. 257 yards, two TDs, and winning the game isn't borderline terrible. If he was terrible, then we were living in suckage.
You could be right but my money is on our defensive line not giving nix the time. Our secondary leaves much to be desired at times granted. We do not have the secondary to stop their WRs…

If we had Bijan and Roschon playing that game last year, we win.He threw for a pair of TDs. You didn't mention that.

Where would he go? Is there a better job on the market? Don’t think so. He’s not going to the NFL at least not yet. While it would be my preference to wait since this is the first time he’s ever won 10+ games in his career, the reality is that schools overpay and just spend the money. So you’re ready for Sark to leave… if we do nothing, he’ll be gone.
Michigan will probably be open at the end of the year. Who knows what will be open next year. I wouldn’t count out the NFL. He’s been there before and the NFL has hired some really head scratching coaches in the past few years. Fired college coaches, 30 year olds, etc.Where would he go? I agree with this. They're still fun to watch, because we get to see a bunch of players in burnt orange who will be on the depth chart - next year. I went to the Alamo Bowl last year and got to see Burke play most of the game, for example. But it is not a true test of your team that year.Aside from the CFP, other bowl games are nothing more than exhibitions. Was not much drop off to Brooks playing. But if Horns had scored 2 more tds. they would have won.If we had Bijan and Roschon playing that game last year, we win.
Sha -vs- NTG....from what I have read in this debate I have to give NTG the edge in argument points
Now y'all carry on
Coaches getting massive pay raises and extensions after 1 good season has been a really poor business decision more often than not recently (Jimbo, Mel Tucker, etc). Altho, when money grows on trees in the world of sports, I guess it honestly doesn't matter. The amount of money being thrown away around the country is just stupid.Where would he go?
