yep a lot of depth but not quality depth. the safeties have been exposed as not being very athletic the last few games. UH was probably the best receiver corps Texas will see the rest of the season but it (and the 0U game) showed how to attack the Texas' 2nd and 3rd level. Derek williams NEEDS to play more. There will be a learning curve as a freshman but he will not get burned as much. Experience doesnt matter very much if receivers run right past you.

Williams should enter, Taafe should never see the field. And don’t give me the interception bit, that was a poor throw and a gimme.

It was a gimmie because he was in the right spot. Taafe and Bush get a lot of criticism because they lack athletic ability, but they are both often in the right place and they make plays. The coaching staff sees them day in and day out so I trust that they have their reasons. Williams is going to play on Sundays, but he's not fully baked just yet.

I'm not real interested in running the ball simply because Malik is the QB. Kid has a live arm, lets use it.

Great arm but we will see lots of INTs. But let’s see it. He will get better.

Sure he’s in the right spot a lot but he gets beat by any decent WR too.

So Quinn is likely out for a minimum of 4 games. I would think NFL teams would be reluctant to use a first round draft pick on him with his limited game experience.
I would think this makes his return next year more likely, which would increase the odds of us losing a QB to the portal

IT said today it's very unlikely he returns.

As a fan, I wouldn't even entertain the idea.

I believe Texas will lose a QB to the portal regardless.

I would think Sark wouldnt take anything but quality but receivers are running right by the safeties and in some cases the safeties are 5 yds off the receivers. injuries happen but the replacements were just getting blown by. They need more young players like derek williams that has the ability to hang but needs the experience. Barron wasnt even suppose to play but contributed. Guilbeau got his first extended play time and lost containment resulting in a TD

He didn't have to because Baxter broke one. I don't understand what you're point was supposed to be.

As you know Barron and Guilbeau were injured plus others. I would like to see McDonald get some time then maybe he not ready.

It may also be time to see what Allen can do if anything. If he can't get on the field with all these injuries, he likely portals out.

Houston’s first two touchdowns were because Taafe was out of position. The interception was a bad overthrow. Walk ons should not be playing at Texas. Period

Sure he’s in the right spot a lot but he gets beat by any decent WR too.

Multiple times every game. I could sit down with you and show you every game where he’s given up TDs due to being beat.
