The 5 srs. and so for only 2 commitments is a worry.Elite teams are deep at all positions to be able to adjust after injuries. Texas is deep at several positions, but the secondary isn't one of them. There are certainly some young guys there with a lot of potential, but aren't necessarily ready for full-time action. It's going to take a couple more years of excellent recruiting to build an elite team. Fortunately, Sark has shown that he's an elite recruiter so should be able to get it done.
Start Maalik and run the ball 75% of the time 2-3 great backs use themThe rumor this morning on Ewers is a Grade 2 shoulder separation, which apparently happened when he was sacked in the 3rd quarter.
Dr. Google says that's anywhere from two to six weeks recovery time.
Thust Sark & staff.Trust the process
I vote for two. lolThe rumor this morning on Ewers is a Grade 2 shoulder separation, which apparently happened when he was sacked in the 3rd quarter.

yep a lot of depth but not quality depth. the safeties have been exposed as not being very athletic the last few games. UH was probably the best receiver corps Texas will see the rest of the season but it (and the 0U game) showed how to attack the Texas' 2nd and 3rd level. Derek williams NEEDS to play more. There will be a learning curve as a freshman but he will not get burned as much. Experience doesnt matter very much if receivers run right past you.5 srs. 1 jr. 4 sophs. 3 rsf. 4 frosh. = 17 good depth to me 3 deep at each position + 2 extra. yeah, I told a buddy last night that QE is almost certainly coming back in a few weeks. If he had broken something or was seriously hurt, he wouldnt have played a whole series after he got hit. IMO as of last night, something was strained or slightly torn but nothing season ending.Update from IT...
"Just received a text from a source ... Quinn wants to play again this season. Texas and Ewers have gotten some initial information back today that it could be possible. Further testing/information is still needed for a final prognosis."
Some newer info this afternoon from IT said Ewers wants to come back this season, but the report they received is he'll be out four or five games with more testing to come.Start Maalik and run the ball 75% of the time 2-3 great backs use them
First and foremost, how in hell is Murphy banged up. He has hardly played at all. Was he riding a scooter (or whatever he rode) again? Some newer info this afternoon from IT said Ewers wants to come back this season, but the report they received is he'll be out four or five games with more testing to come.
TFB added that Murphy has been banged up recently, and if the Houston game had been any longer, they aren't sure he would've been able to finish.
This will be more than just surviving a game or two with a back-up handing off, and Sark will need to approach it that way by picking the best guy and calling the offense to win.
That's even more true now with the defense struggling and injuries piling up on that side of the ball.
It's possible it's a non-contact deal or throwing injury.First and foremost, how in hell is Murphy banged up. He has hardly played at all. Was he riding a scooter (or whatever he rode) again?
Second, I believe we're about to have Wally Pip moment in Austin. You mark my words. Quinn may never see the field again in a Longhorn jersey.
