Hope you are right. I see no comparison to Whit.Size weight or speed. Then he might be the next Metcalf.
You're right about the physical comparison, but I think they were comparing play making ability.

Metcalf was really good, close to Hampton's weight, but faster. Closer to J Whit's speed. He was fun to watch.

Sorry, guys.

I've been out of the country since Wednesday and finally got my internet sorted out.

Hope everyone is well, and I saw Hampton is in and Blocton chose Auburn.
Wait, wut!

You've been gone?

Sorry, just messing with ya, lol.

Glad you're back and got this internet thing figure out ?

Kind of sucks.  I want Black, Gibson, Bridges, Mack and Wilson at CB this year.  Then again, I'm extremely greedy.
It does sound like we could potentially land 4 of those 5, excluded Bridges, which would still be a really strong CB class. A bit of "can't get them all" that we have to deal with in recruiting.

On the latest recruit 5-10  175  11.54 100M. What position is he projected at?

If Thompson had stayed proably would not have re ruited Hampton.
Don't read too much into his 100M time, he has not been a major T&F guy in HS. Watch the tape and judge his speed, seems plenty fast and very elusive.

Update:

Lots of decisions coming soon so I figured a post to help us keep track:

July 12th - Melvin Hills (Texas lean)

July 13th - Jayden Jackson (Ohio State lean)

July 14th - Selman Bridges (Arkansas lean)

July 21st - D'Antre Robinson (Texas Lean)

July 22nd - Corian Gipson (Strong Texas Lean, unless you ask Mike Roach)

End of July likely - TJ Lindsey

On Watch for July: Collin Simmons, Zina Umeozulu

January AA Game - Dominick McKinley

Unknown - Kobe Black, Brandon Baker, Ryan Wingo, Danny Okoye, Wardell Mack

That's a little surprising, considering that most of the highlights I saw were on offense, I thought that was his preference. That, plus the number of projected db's in this class.

It's interesting.  Mostly you hear about these types of athletes wanting to play in offense,  where you get way more adulation.  I like it.
Part of me wonders if taking him as an ATH was a condition to get him back in the class.
