Flood wants Cruz at center, so there's no conflict with Carter if Texas can somehow pull him from Cali.

I gotta be honest. Nothing against the kid but I didn't think Pierce was a good fit. We tapped the brakes and have two LBs we're zeroed in on. 

The RB, I like him a lot. I hope we continue to recruit him. Anything can happen with this much time left.

No, as TFL said, he's a Center. Carter is probably a guard at the college level.
