2023 Recruiting Board/Thread

A few recruits' seemingly recent fascination with Houston is confusing to me. Am I missing something?
or it could be, in the case of Niblett, he feels slighted in some way.  Texas is actively pursuing JaKobi Lane and Deandre Moore to go along with Cook.  I don't want to lose Niblett, but 2 other WRs is probably giving him pause and UH is probably making him feel special at the moment.

This makes sense but it isn't like there were a lot of WRs at Texas showing out last year. Witt likely gone which leaves Worthy as the only real dependable guy.

You may be right, but I have a feeling JWhitt is coming back.  Don't know why, but I just do.

I'm not one of the guys on the Neyor train at this point because he has never played a down for Texas so I can't say if he will fit. Nor how much confidence he has in his knee for next year.

I am intrigued with Brennan Thompson and A. Hall.  Both are extremely talented and could contribute next year.

Sark has shown a propensity to play 5-6 total WRs in a year at most.  I could see Johntay Cook having an impact as well , similar to Worthy in his 1st year.

If JWhit comes back then I could see a starting trio of Worthy, Jwhit and Neyor/Hall with Cook, Hall/Neyor, Thompson and Cain/Alexis getting some play.  Redshirt Lane/Niblett and Moore.  that is 10 WRs total and Sark has stated before he likes that room around 10-11 total.

Apparently (according to my son), 247 had an update on Niblett this afternoon.  I don't subscribe to that site.  Any idea what it said Tfloss?  Probably something similar to what IT said that Niblett could flip or he won't flip

Coach Marion spoke with Niblett last night and "calmed the waters", per 247.

Houston did a good job of making him doubt he'd get playing time at Texas, but the staff eased any concerns and he should be locked in at this point.

well now, that is a good update.  F Houston and Holgerson.  I think Texas has shown that if you win the job then they play the best player regardless of age (see Worthy as an example at WR)

Nahlin at IT saying 70% chance CB Tyler Scott of Mableton, GA signs with Texas.

Speaking of late bloomers. Kid was committed to Arkansas State. His first senior year tape comes out and then Texas, Alabama, USC, Michigan, Auburn, Louisville, and Tennessee, etc. all offer almost immediately. Went from a very low 3* (83 grade) to 88 grade and probably over 90 grade when final rankings come out.

Well, that was fast. lol
