I don't think we take them lightly. They have what is probably the best defense in the Big 12. Points won't come easy like they did Saturday.

No Purdy, Hall, and either both TEs are gone. Their defense is good.

Adding Billingsley to the offense will help break their defense down to open up the running game by the 2nd to 3rd quarter.  Causing the younger players to get more playing time in the 4th quarter. 

This team has an edge to it with Quinn.  Like the defense doesn't want to disappoint the offense and the special team doesn't want the defense or offense to be mad at them for the play.

7 quarters of Quinn with 2 blowout out wins and 1 quarter totally destroying the number 1 team.

Texas -- 49 or so

I oringally predicted 41-10 Texas.

Now, I'm going with 34-3 Texas

With Iowa State's defense, I don't think we make it to the 40s.

With Iowa State's offense, I don't think they make it to 10.

this game will be a huge test for our young and improving O Line. If nothing else, ISU has a very good D line. If our guys keep Quinn upright and mostly clean, we will beat them worse than we did OU. If , however, they get to Quinn we have a different scenario. I stick by my original guess(whatever that was) but I am uneasy until I am not.

I too am suffering from a form of Longhorn PTSD. For the most part I'm optimistic, Hell sometimes even cocky, but there is still that nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach that things could go wrong at any moment.

To help Ewers stay upright they need to chip McDonald IV with a back or TE on every passing play.
