**Running College Football Updates Thread**

Wtf is this?  Check out A.  Does this mean as long as a QB has his head downfield and is concentrating on throwing the ball then you can't hit him?  Sorry, he is about to throw the ball.

Why don't we just put red jerseys on QBs and say off limits.  Better yet, lets just play 7 on 7.  Wtf is happening with college football.

Will be interesting to see exactly how that works. It's hard to believe the defense won't be able to tackle the QB if he sets up looking down field in a "passing pose". If it's as it seems this will be a huge change to the game.

Hopefully it's about how they can be tackled, although I have no idea how that would work

I think this probably relates to targeting, right? The defenseless player moniker usually applies for targeting but that player can still be tackled - just not the launching, head to head variety.

Anybody see this,

Central Michigan 44

Okie Lite 58

Interesting
Looking at the box score, it was a 29 point game until CMU scored with 12 minutes left in the 4th. They went on to score two more times but really the score looks closer because of 22 points in the 4th qtr.

I wouldn't read too much into it - perhaps you could say the Ok St lacks depth on the defensive side.

West Virginia looked better than expected against Pitt. JT Daniels looked pretty good at QB and they got the running game working effectively. Their D-line created havoc and sacks but overall gave up 31 pts to Pitt's offense (one was a pick 6) that lost a lot from last year.

Hard to make too many conclusions from week 1, especially a rivalry game, but I do expect a more challenging game against them than previously.

CMU had more than 500 yrs. That's bad even for the first game jitters.

WVa wide receiver botched it. How many targeting calls were made in this game?

And lost their DC to Ohio State.
