Longhorn News/Discussion (Non-Recruiting)

Was likely buried on the depth chart and hasn’t looked good since the knee injury.
Presumably, but what is the advantage of entering now, vs after the season?

I was wondering the same. School just started so he has time to transfer and enroll elsewhere for the fall semester. Perhaps being at a new spot this fall will at least give him the chance to learn a new program and system so that he is ready to compete in the Spring?

Exactly. Still time to enroll if he moves quick. If not then I'm not sure why you leave now.

Staying does have the advantage of 50k per year in NIL. If he can't crack the 2 deep ar TX his NFL dreams are basically a lottery ticket, no matter what school he ends up at.  Maybe he just wants to play and doesn't care about the money.

Gameday is coming. This season will tell us a lot. Good coaches solve the problems. Week to week improvement is a sign of a well coached team.

Has the transfer portal window that started at the end of May reopened?

That depends on how you define improvement against Bama. ?
According to some on this board if we aren’t losing by 50+ with Sark curled up in the fetal position crying for his mommy then we’ve improved.

It’s ALAFREAKINGBAMA and we can’t beat Kansas so obviously we expect to get skull drug. I’m just being a realist.

I will consider it a positive sign if we don't forfeit the game at halftime.

BTW, Tom Herman is undefeated against Kansas ?

How many of the seven OL recruits from 2022 end up on the two deep?

How many players will we lose to injury this year? We lost many last year.

I'm worried we may lose a few in the Bama game and will be at less than 100% going into OU.

We will lose more or less the same amount of players to injury that we do every year ?
That was the point. It fluctuates from year to year. Last year was not a good year. Even our QB was playing with a torn ligament in his passing hand.

Hopefully the law of averages will bring the injuries back to a sustainable number. Then there is a four week window to get well for the dirt burglars.
