No disrespect but any view why these OL have lower rankings and less prominent offers?  I can't judge OL so I have to rely on the coaches, but last year each was highly rated?  Is it a down year for O lineman in TX compared to last year or just harder to sign the top rated guys with the numbers we added last year?  I am assuming most will redshirt.

With that said, welcome aboard Stroh, Cojoe, and Chatman!!!  Can't wait to see you on the 40 acres next year

Are we done for today?

I notice we are already up to #5 on the 247 team recruiting ranking.

I think it is a variety of things. First, there isn't a loaded OL class in Texas this year. No 5 stars in the state and highest ranked OL is at #72. There are only 3 in state OL ranked higher than Chatman. There are only another handful of guys between Chatman and Cojoe/Stroh.

Harris Sewell - passed on Texas

Markus Deal - we will keep pursuing.

TJ Shanahan - passed on Texas (recently moved to Texas)

There is also the fact that we took such a good, and large haul last year. Less early opportunities for guys probably affects things as well.

Lastly, I think Flood IDed these guys early as players he wanted and pursued them aggressively. We won't expect to see them for several years once on campus but there are players Flood wants to get on campus and develop into studs.

By the way, we're now sitting with the nation's 5th ranked class at 24/7. When I started looking at it early today, we were at #10.

I think you can make a case for Chatman as the top OL in-state.  He's still a 3* on ESPN and Gabe Brooks on 247 said a good chance he moves into the top 247 next time.

Shanahan's rating is propped up by a ridiculous Rivals rating having him #1 in the state.

Deal wants to play defense.

yep.  Thanks for confirming.  It just makes me wonder if the 'Arch' effect would draw in OL as much as it is with playmakers (combined with SS of course).
