I'm really interested in knowing how those conversations go down. I hope Sark and/or the University don't just say thank you, bye. My guess would be more like "you're probably not going to play very much, you have options to go elsewhere if you choose". That way the player can choose to go elsewhere and try to get some playing time or just be a good soldier, go to practice and get an excellent education and all the benefits that come with it.
I'm sure it goes down something like that but the HC has to bring up the loss of the scholarship. Maybe they could be a preferred walk-on and have a chance to earn the schollie back but it's gone for now.

Well, they won the national championship in 1925.
Not so fast my friend. the aggies have a championship banner for that year by way of 'Bama. 'Bama was voted the top team in the country in 1925, so naturally, the aggies won it too since they are both in the SEC and they beat 'Bama this year.

Actually  there were several teams claiming the championship, but you're right about Alabama being one of them. So yeah, I'm sure that's close enough for aggie. ?

According to Wikipedia, the 1925 college football season ended with no clear national champion. At the close of the season, noted sports writer Billy Evans described the championship contest as "a dead heat" among DartmouthTulaneMichiganWashington, and Alabama/Texas a&m.

Certainly looks the part. You can see he's got plenty of room for growth/fill out. He's going to be a big dude.
