Even though this game is in West Virginia, that might be a blessing right now. After consecutive poor performances, the last one being at home, it may be refreshing to sort of get away from it all. And Morgantown is definitely away from it all.

My thoughts:

1. The name Sills is still represented on this WV team. He's on their DL so this should scare you pretty good.

2. WV isn't a great offense. Our defense might have a shot at decency this weekend.

3. If Thompson can avoid the rush and some WRs step up, we have a shot.

4. I'm looking forward to increased touches by K-Rob.

5. This game will say a lot about Sark and this team. If Sark is who I think he is, this will go to the W column.

6. This is by far the easier of the two games we have left.

7. Doege, their QB, has thrown three more INTs this season than Thompson.

8. Their leading WR only has two TDs this season.

9. This would be a huge step in the right direction if Texas takes the win.

Texas 48

WV 24

A battle for the Big 12 basement. It doesn't seem possible to continue this streak, it has defied all odds already.

Texas wins this one, and gets back to the big scoreboard as if it was Tech again. Everyone starts shopping for Alamo bowl tickets, just in time to have your hopes dashed the next weekend at home.

Texas 50 WV 21

They were assured of victory, the men of the 7th Cavalry, so they rode on.

UT-32 : 31-WVU

Actually, this is not a battle for the conference basement.

Oh hell, which is worse the jello offense, WV, or the pudding defense,  UT. Can we just do the 7v7 we win.  Hopefully with Whittington back is keeps the safeties somewhat honest on WV defense. Plus maybe a light switch went off for Washington in the 2nd half of last week will rollover for the last 2 games.

Texas 48- WV 45.
