Or get an OL coach and S&C staff that can turn the guys we are getting into guys like the Ark. Center they talked about on the broadcast. When was the last time we had OL that manhandled anyone?

Got a good OLcoach and strength staff.  Can you turn a jackass into a racehorse 2 weeks from the Kentucky derby. Still need to start getting better Ol talent in though.  Have to.  At this point you have to scheme around a weak OL.  That happened last week very nicely I might add.  Tonight, the game plan stunk and no adjustments were made.  Quick passes on first and second down would’ve been effective.  After seeing they were blitzing those downs the first 5-6 series they still didn’t change.  Card didn’t hold the ball to long out of indecisiveness, it was because the WR still had their backs to him.  They were long routes.  The underneath stuff would’ve been there against a 3 high safety look with both backers blitzing.  The game planning was atrocious.  No adjustments.  Texas needs to sell early opportunity to every 5* OL recruit and offer 3 year NIL contracts to them.  Buy them, get them here then coach them.  This year may be a lot less than what most expected.  Texas needs better OL personnel

Don't disagree with any of this. We definitely need better talent. That said, we have heard about how good the OL and strength coaches have been a few times over the last 10 years. Time to see if the current one is the recruiter he is rumored to be and if he can bring in the top tier talent.

Actually this year we heard how dominant our DL was.  Now we 100% know why

I expect the same.  Seems we beat lower tier teams but can't seem to win the ones that would lift us to the next level.  In fact, last nights game was quite embarrassing.  Offense was non-existent and Defense was tired of being on the field.

Texas will not get better until they start getting elite OL talent.  They’re not getting them until they start throwing the NIL money around.

Poor OL coaches for several years in a row.

Where the coaches bad. Okie Lite and Aburn had pretty good OL.With lower rated players espicaly OSU.

IMO two ways to have great OL.

1 Recruit 5&4 stars

2 Recryitbest you can of 17 players redshirtthem and build a greatline.

In regards to OL recruiting. Will Hawkins be back in our corner now that hand and mensa are gone?  Doesn't seem that way with Banks and Williams going to Oregon.

Not really. Our OL will look great against Rice and suddenly talk will shift to something else.
