I know any coaching change will bring some degree of attrition, so I'll be interested to see who transfers out after the full staff is announced. As some of y'all have said already, any offensive player should be excited about the change, especially the QBs. If attrition occurs, I assume it will come from the defensive side of the ball, especially if Ash isn't retained. Out of all the options that have been tossed out there, I think I would prefer to roll with Ash. He made some serious progress over the season, and it would be interesting to see what he could do with a full offseason. On a side note, when I read Mike Stoops name mentioned, I literally dropped my phone. Glad that one was but to bed quickly.

Finally listened to Coach Sark's introductory presser and was really impressed. It's definitely a contrast to Herman. Sark comes across as a mature coach, and I appreciated his comments about entrusting your assistants to do their jobs. I also talked to my USC buddies that were managers on the team back when he was an OC there. I'm definitely feeling better than when the news first broke. I'm hopeful, optimistic, and sipping the Kool Aid.

Can someone link the intro presser?  My YouTube search skills are failing me.

Heck, I'm just happy to see Herman get the axe and I hope Sark can handle the pressure cooker that is Texas.

Getting to the college football playoffs when they are coaching at Texas. We won’t be able to know until then. All we have right now is wishful thinking. And let’s keep that thinking wishful. He needs a honeymoon unless he says ‘winning is hard’.
We're doing this again for the 3rd time in 8 years.

This wedding took place at the courthouse with a weekend honeymoon at WinStar. It feels like yet another crapshoot to me. Hope I'm wrong about Sark.

Just for fun, we should review Sark's introductory presser with Herman's and Strong's to compare and contrast what was said. Promises made vs results.

Agreed, if we are going to play the game then we better play to win. Tired of the morality clause some ppl live by.
So, "It's whether you win or lose. It's not how you play the game." Right?

Morality is hard. Really, really hard. ?

I like you, my friend, but I wouldn't want to play cards with you. Lol

We have lost several recruiting battles to Tee Martin. Very good QB coach and way above average recruiter.

He was QB coach under Lane Kiffin at USC and then Helton. Was promoted to OC.

Helton fired a bunch of assistants and Martin was caught up in that. Went to Tennessee (where he once played QB) for past two years.
Actually won the National Championship while playing qb there...
