Don’t know the reasons for his decommitment but I do know his girlfriend is the #1 softball player in the country and she’s a Sooner.

Huge loss for Texas here.  He’s a stud.

Tremendous recruiting loss if he ends up elsewhere.

I would imagine OU is his frontrunner right now.  He's a great kid, a special player that plays both sides of the ball, and he comes from a really good family.  Wishing him the very best .

Aaron, any idea if Texas was as open to him playing WR like OU or were they pretty headstrong on him sticking at S/DB?  I would guess the subject was discussed.

Maybe averaging 6 losses a year (since 2009) and consistently giving up records of futility is catching up to us.

I’m not trying to be snarky - Texas performance on the field negative recruits itself.  “Texas doesn’t develop players.”  How can you defend against that in a kid’s living room?

This defense is undisciplined and tackles poorly. Can't say I blame the kid, but OU's sucks, too. I guess he loves his GF.

If he plays at Texas I think we see him play on both sides of the ball.  And I don't think that had anything to do with his decommitment.  Looking long-term, if he plays in the league he will make his money as a DB/punt & kickoff returner.

If he rails OU on Saturday will you be singing the same tune, MB?
Charlie Strong beat ou too.  Herman is done. He might go 7-3 or 8-4 to 9-3 under normal years but he is not winning anything of significance at Texas.. My eyes do not lie.

Herman could be successful at Texas and win if he was willing to do what Dabo does & Mack did. Be the CEO and hire good coordinators. Be the one making sure we get facility upgrades. Make sure the staff has everything they need. Instead Herman is Jerry Jones. He wants to win but he feels he has to win his way. He has to have the credit for winning. The main push against Graham Harrell was the air raid & Herman wanting to keep his spread concepts. That’s a terrible way to look at things. The air raid has show it kills in this league and around the country. How is it this man cannot think maybe he has the wrong way of playing and step aside? He’s arrogant. Herman wanting to run 3 times and punt when he’s up in the 4th constantly. He keeps losing doing this but doesn’t change. Why? Arrogance. That’s he undoing. And that’s why he will never win it all here.

Great! Now were 17th in recruiting according to 24/7. Herman has a hard time winning with four-star players. We now have nine three-star commitments for the 2021 class.

Now we may lose our five-star commitment.

1) Ja'Tavion Sanders could come as part of a packaged deal with Bowman.

I'd imagine that Tom Herman's first order of business upon learning of Bowman's decommitment was to get on the phone with Sanders and make sure he's not jumping ship too. At risk of stating the obvious, the only thing worse than losing a pledge from your second-best recruit is losing a pledge from your best recruit. Sanders and Bowman, who are teammates and close friends, are (or were) the headliners in Texas' 2021 class
