I dont believe Trump is a racist man.  I do believe he is a patriot though.  I voted for him.  Yea he can say stupid shit at times but Ill take over  a smooth talking sell out any day.  Most politicians on both sides sell out this country and all of us.  Just my opinion brother.

Left wing media pushes this narrative constantly.. Biden has said racist stuff point blank yet they dont mention that at all.

right wing, left wing they all spin to fit their narrative in their opinion pieces.  When Biden made his comment about "If you vote for trump then you're not black"  (Something to that extent), ALL news media covered it.  Is that the stuff you were talking about?  If not, what?

I am wondering about this coronavirus and football. I know several schools have had so many cases that they have shut it down. Herman said it cost $1M + to get everyone back and all the testing and different things they had to do to get setup. How’s these lower revenue schools going to be able to afford it? What happens if the 4th game of the year your QB test positive and he hung around with close contact with your RB and a couple other starters and they all have to be quarantined? That’s two games they’ll have to miss. This could get crazy if that virus doesn’t settle down. We better be working our second and third team guys and have alot of guys ready.

Also, I saw something that Gov Abbott stated capacity may only be at 50% come fall.  I may opt to apply my season ticket money to next year...

I think the panic is over. Things are returning to normal. Some simple safe practices will suffice. UT spends that much because they can. Others don't have to.

I am glad though, that most young and athletic people who have shown symptoms of this virus haven't actually had much problem with it. Its the old folks that I would concern myself with. Tons of old folks among alumni who attend games. Many of them will give in to the urge to come out.

I think if you're simply taking temperatures of the athletes before the game, you're fine. Much more difficult to pass it if you're not suffering symptoms.

I think they said that 50% would cover all season ticket holders. No?

So you'd get to be there. And man, . . we NEED you there. At 50% capacity, you guys are going to have to get loud.

Man I’m getting too pumped. I forgot about snacks no longer getting doubled team every down. He is gonna be a run stuffing machine. And we get to slowly bring along Collins and Broughton. These d-line has the pieces to be special for years to come.
@java can talk about the kind of guy Sweat is, but he is apparently a quick learner. And the more he knows about his assignments and this defense, the more dangerous he's going to be. Everything else is there and a lot of it is extraordinary.

Could this be Hampton-Rogers all over again?

Sweat was at 330 last I heard. I hope the lack of offseason hasn't taken its toll. I know he loves Lil Debbies. lol

I think Ojomo is going to show us some stuff this year. I think the change in scheme is going to benefit him a ton.

If this is Hampton-Rogers all over again?? I feel sorry for the opposing QBs and RBs.

So we have Jamison returning punts. Who returns kicks? I honestly can't remember who did that last year. Smith?

I would like to see the seating strategy.  When they start to space all the fans out, which sections get moved?  Do the space people out from the 50 yd line towards the end zones and therefore the folks at the ends will be moved to??? upper deck?  end zone?  My seats aren't the greatest but better than sitting in one end zone.

I don't know. I just read an article somewhere a day or so ago where CDC said he was going to take care of the season ticket holders.

You are correct, there is no debate. I gave examples of black Americans having power but you chose not to acknowledge it. Again, you are selling black Americans short

un

  1. prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized.

This definition of racism can apply to all ethnicity’s. Yes, a black person can be racist.
You're actually forgetting a MAJOR factor; the ability to OPPRESS.  I did acknowledge that some black people have achieved certain positions of power.  But as a group black people are not in any position to oppress or even change laws that are intended to oppress another race.  There's only ever been one race in this country with that ability and that oppression is ingrained into this nation.  So again, based on the definition I gave earlier black people or minorities cannot be racist.  Hateful, prejudiced, yes. Racist, no. Why would I EVER want to sell black people short?

Come on, now... you can't lump everything in just because it was a slave activity. Chinese labor built more of the railroad than anybody else.

Most my family on one side were cotton farmers. My Granny picked cotton from earlier than she could remember. Does that mean I can't talk about it because slaves picked cotton too?

We need to select certain symbols that represented slavery the most and unify against them. If we end up picking *everything* then there's nothing really to unify around.
I understand the angst Capt. SHA asked about the connection and I provided the link.  The problem tho is that this country was built on the backs of slaves.  And just about everything we take for granted today came from that foundation and we have been unifying around those symbols.  And from these discussions we've been having we've been doing so without knowledge of it.  That how ingrained racism is in this country....

I’m not forgetting anything. I copied and pasted the definition, argue with whoever wrote that definition, not me. The definition I used proves anyone no matter the color of their skin can be racist. I didn’t make that up, I just proved it with the actual definition
