***Tuesday Texas Baseball vs Incarnate Word 7 PM***

How does the team that sweeps LSU and splits with Arkansas struggle with UIW?
Couple of things

Few hits, falling behind hitters, Madden was not sharp early at all

They're using their weekend pitchers here

And finally, they beat a&m, and have won their last four games.

B8

Leadoff walk, KS, walk and that's it for Neely.

Kubichek on to pitch with 1 out, runners on 1&2

B8 cont; runners on 1&2, 1 out

Kubichek on the bump

F7; 2 outs

6-5 ends it

Horns trail 2-3 headed to the 9th

T9

Reynolds comebacker; 1 out

Ford double down the LF line; tying run in scoring position.

Hibbeler barrels one up and drills one about two feet from going out of the park in LF; caught at the wall; 2 outs

Shaw KS ends it

Horns fall 3-2 to UIW.

See y'all in two weeks.  I'm off to the beach in the tropics.

HookEm!  Get some Ws.

I would hope our weekday pitchers are better then their best guys.

I don’t disagree with the thought process, but kids playing at the D1 level are there for a reason. They are all competitors and are not going to lay down against anyone just because of the name on the jersey. You have to be ready to play every time you take the field. There are very few cupcakes.  Take a look at the top 25 teams that lost tonight and to who. Most all of these kids at D1 played at a high level in select/travel ball and most were recruited to play at the school’s they’re at. My son played D2 ball and even that level is loaded with talented ball players.

Your logic is reasonable, but I still want wins :D

I just want to limit our swings to pitches that are in the strike zone. Or if there’s two strikes within 3 inches of the zone. And I don’t want us taking call strike threes.

I also want us to reduce our errors to zero.

And I want us to never ever walk the number nine batter.

I ain’t asking for much.
