*****#9 Texas vs. Baylor Game Thread*****

Nothing like starting my vacation from work watching a game that nearly sent my crazy tail to the ER. J/s

First off, I really dont think Texas is ready for the playoffs, but with UGA going down today that window is cracking more open.  Still a lot that has to play out like Texas taking care of their end, but its opening a little more each week.  I know, I know, 1-0, but we can think big picture as long as the players dont.

And I forgot to mention #7 and #8 falling today as well.  Setting up for a huge matchup with WVU.  Although, they have to win in 2 weeks at a place that has historically been tough for them.  But hey, so was Manhattan, KS.

Horns have no business being in the playoffs. Without Sam there is zero offense.

Herman has reiterated several times that Texas can't afford to play it's C game and expect to win.

The elephant in the room is how bad is Ehlinger's injury.
Maybe a game time decision. What baffles me is that Sam was about to take the snap on that play then the refs blew the whistle because of the bleeding. I mean did he not realize how bad the injury was that he didn’t even take himself out of the game?

AC sprain for Sam. Barring something different showing up on the MRI, he should be throwing by weeks end

someone mentioned earlier that he wasn't in a sling.  hopefully thats a good thing
Someone also mentioned that he did the eyes of Texas with his left hand. This is worrisome as I usually suspect a rotator cuff injury when you cannot raise your arm above your head. He will definitely get an MRI this week

strange injury. I dont recall seeing a player with a shoulder injury that wasnt in a sling and wrapped up tight with an ice bag in the shoulder wrapping.. I was very encouraged when I say him in the second half working the bench and keeping the guys fired up. The way he was acting at first I feared he might be concussed. Java calmed me down some on that so thanks Java.
