Dunno if he’s a fraud but the verdict is still out on Herman for me. For being an offensive “guru” he does allow Beck or whoever the hell is calling plays these days to run some questionable plays during key situations.

This is a much more important win for Texas than USC. TCU is much better, a league rival and the best program in the state for the past few years. The Texas D was outstanding, which gives them confidence going up against similar style Big 12 opponents.

After two back to back games where our defense shut the other team out I must say that Orlando is doing an incredible job of making second half adjustments.
our offense makes me want to pull my hair out at times but they are quite good at making big plays. Last year we couldn’t even get a first down consistently. We have improved quite a bit.

Honestly. Sterns played like he's an All American in my books. He's a freak of nature right now. And after seeing that game they need to play smash mouth football for 4 quarters and play like it's there last game and not let up. The schedule will get tougher as they get tougher

The biggest thing for me, outside of the W, was that we ran the ball effectively against a very good defense.

I didn't jump your ass. I would never touch your ass much less jump it. I pointed out that you were calling anyone who was picking a TCU win fair weather fans. If we were fair weather fans we would have found another team to follow at some point the last nine years.
I hope your enjoying the UT win. I know I am and I enjoyed the big A&M loss. Right now I'm also enjoying an OU- Army tie late in the 4th quater. An OU loss would be the cherry on top for the day.

Agree. Both USC game and this one were not enjoyable first halves. Both for similar reasons.
On the plus side, TCU's quarterback play and protection eroded late in the game. Texas seemed more physical, even fresh, the last 10 minutes of the game. That near-6 minute drive took it all out of'em. Patterson is not going to like film when he watches that. Our DBs are melding fast. And this was twice we've had to play a first half without a stellar defensive player: Maryland and this afternoon.
Best part of the game besides the win, I felt we took control of the game as it drove to and through the 4th quarter. Almost blew it with a dumb 4th down play at midfield. But overall, was good to grab Patterson and his bunch by the collar and wrestle them down. Patterson looked miffed on the sidelines. He's not used to this.

I'm not sure anyone is going to care about your standard in November. In fact, I think the care factor just went to zero with your response.
All you have is a mobile goalpost and the will to use it without shame.
The issue is whether or not we suck or not. But now you change that to "what have we won?"
Before I destroy that point, let me answer your question. We just beat TCU, which until yesterday you were convinced we could not because of four previous years of resounding defeat. So we just did what you clearly thought we could not. And left no doubt.
Under your "what have we won" incredibly stupid response – Bama qualifies as suckage because, well, its too early in the season to have won anything.
Teams that suck aren't 3-1 right now. Teams that suck don't donkey stomp TCU in a game that means more than it should to Patterson each year. You know this. The crow you've been served is bitter once you start chewing on it, huh?
