When you have players who have not given a shit for years and now have a coach who is pushing them to be there best you're going to have some disconnect.... Urban Meyer and Saban are both dicks and funny you don't hear this shit in their programs.. Why? Because you either get in the boat or get the F*** out.

They also win a bunch. If you’re going to be an asshole you better get things going in short order.

Just read some of Chips thoughts. Said defense is still kicking offense’s ass. Then he talked about players and parents unhappy with TH. Said he ignored players in the hallway and didn’t care about them. 

Herman has very defined levels of players who gain his trust. His pre-game routine to give an extra hug and kiss to some players got quite a bit of attention, but that wasn't for everybody. If you watch the whole routine, there are a lot of players who get a pat on the back, some just barely a handshake. He makes a big deal about earning the trust of not just him, but the other coaches and players as well.

Of course that means players will be on the outside of the trust tree. They will likely feel the way Chip describes; although unless that blurb was in context then it doesn't correctly describe Herman's approach to his players.

What was Saban’s record first year at Alabama?  He was 7-6. He started out gang busters then fell back down to earth. You gotta expect that after 7 years of mediocrity it would take longer than 11 months to change course.

He has a really good year. I think his only committable offer is New Mexico. He visited Pitt, where Shawn Watson is OC, but didn’t get an offer if my memory serves me correctly.

PITT just committed former USC highly rated QB who fell off the map Ricky Town.  Originally a bama commit, flipped to USC and then had a mediocre JUCO season last year.  Not sure if they will take another JUCO QB, or if Locksley would want to go there after they took another guy.
