"Admitted drug dealer." Just stop with that. This isn't the 50's, or the 80's for that matter. He had a handful of very common pills and may have been making some money getting rid of them. This happens a million times a day all across middle class America and most kids don't think twice about it unless they are star athletes, like him, and should think twice about it. He screwed up, yes, and maybe blew it, but he wasn't thugging around, smoking crack.

Will be interesting to see how it plays out. The bigger issue and one that may never change is how talented individuals get second chances. If you can help bolster the bottom line, the win column or the stock price, you will somehow be given additional chances. I don't know if he ends up at Texas or not, but I'm sure that due to his skill level he'll get a 2nd chance somewhere. Good luck to the kid and hope he gets his act together.
