While impressive, something to note, his bowl record at OU is 8-9. 

In years where he has won a conf championship, his bowl record is a stellar 3-6.

I had read that Barnett kicked the interview with UT.

Now, I don't know to what stage Stoops got with UT, but he was in the mix. 2nd or 3rd. Thanks for clarifying.

Deloss was in Chicago negotiating with Barnett on Tuesday night only to find out DKR and the regents were set to finalize a deal with Mack Wednesday morning.

Okay, Barnett was #2 on the list.

Can't say that I regret missing out on him as HC, but thanks for the more accurate history lesson.

BS, Barnett did not pull his name off the list. In fact, he was certain the job was his and was blindsided by Texas when they went with Mack.

The good ole days statement was in regards to when Texas was a threat in the big 12, whoever was RRR normally won the big 12. Before we started sucking and letting TCU and Baylor, OSU in the hunt. We opened the door for everyone last few years. Just my opinion.
