Tom Herman

Every game left on the schedule is winnable. Every game left on the schedule is losable.

With the talent on this team and the schedule we had, Texas should have won no less than 9 games this year and winning 10 was doable.

To have not won at least 9 games is on the head coach and coaching staff. Charlie will prove to be a good coach but never a great coach.

That's why I make a change and the first calls go to Saban, Meyer, and Herman in that order. And the first two aren't happening.
We still have an outside shot at 9 wins...possible not probable...

9 is about as probable as 5.... neither is out of the realm of possibility.

I feel like a genius after calling the Baylor game (kind of) and predicting 7-5 after Cal.  I am sticking to my 7-5 prediction.... the problem with 7-5 is that it renders no clear mandate with regard to who will be HC in 2017.... with no clear mandate, I don't trust our "decision makers."

I think that you are right on target with your "no clear mandate" thought. Just wish it would be clear one way or the other and 7-5 just doesn't do that.

But I also believe that the "decision makers" would think that 7-5 is a clear mandate.

Enjoy feeling a genius. If you keep posting on this board that won't last. :)

I would way,way rather we make every effort to sign John Harbaugh....we wouldnt even have to buy out a contract. His is up.

You kid...I hope
Comedy.... with a point behind it {hint... clock management has been atrocious}.

If you have to explain, I guess it isn't good comedy.

I have tried to keep up with this thread but would les miles be a bad candidate? I'd say he is more "proven" than Herman

I would put it this way.

Would Tom Herman lead Texas to championships? Maybe, but I don't know.

Would Tom Herman have more success at Texas than Charlie? I believe so.
charlie's been very successful at turning this program back around.  he's done really well recruiting in the 2 full cycles he's been here; and did a great job salvaging a class in his first year.

he got rid of players that didn't want to be here or that didn't follow the rules.

it hasn't translated into too many wins on the field so far but i'm patient.  i'm willing to give him at least another year.  his players will be upperclassman next year.

there's no guarantee that herman will have any success at Texas.
