Hermans season may be toast. Big bad navy putting it to em. I'm sure he is the best around for the job but sure worries me, CS was same way with Louisville when we went after him.

Never said he sucked... I'm just not sure jumping on this wagon again is best. But then again who else is there out there. Not saying he isn't the right choice. Just based off CS and Louisville comparison it makes me wonder. It is just 1 game though.

I hear ya... Definitely not the topic I thought we would be discussing at this time of the year.

Just bite the bullet and offer Urban Meyer $15 mill per year. Football profit at Ohio State has increased 38% since Urban took the job. That would be a $35 mill increase for Texas. He pays for his salary. If he turns down $15 mill our program is truly in shambles. So we should all accept that fact and move on with our lives. If he accepts and doesn't produce it's obviously not a coaching issue. We can go back to hiring "up and comers" save some money and have occasional success without having our hopes up. The only other possible scenario puts us in Dynasty mode. If We Are Texas quit screwing around and go big.

I would love to think that we can money whip someone worthy with 15m, however i have yet to see anything that makes me believe that our BMD are willing to do that

I agree. I think they would back up the brinks truck for Meyer, Saban, but don't see why they would leave their current situation. Herman makes sense, but his resume is not that different than Charlie's. In fact Charlie had more skins on the wall when Texas hired him than Herman has now.

Yep. When I talked to Andy Staples this week, he said the one sticking point to the Herman move would be Houston beating Louisville and getting in the CFB Playoff. That's now off the table. Now it comes down to pulling the trigger, because Herman wants Texas. This could, and likely will be done, by Dec. 15, giving him almost 2 months to lock down his first signing day class. I'd love to see him steal the Ohio State verbals away from Urban on signing day.

I hope you guys are right but I don't think our A.D. and president see it as clearly as you.
