Texas takes on Oklahoma State in Stillwater at 11:00 a.m. CT on Saturday. Texas has not lost in Stillwater since 1997, and the visiting team in this series has not lost since 2008. History is on Texas' side, but I'm more of a realist/pessimist. Vance Bedford is coaching for his job, and in many respects so is Charlie Strong. What are your thoughts/concerns? All questions welcome! Fire away.

Texas wins if?

Texas loses if?
1. Texas wins if... they let D'onta Foreman do his thing and don't shy away from it. If the defense creates turnovers, specifically in the secondary. Lastly, the defensive line can get to Rudolph and the DB's can contain PJ Washington. Big task.

2. Texas loses if... They allow Mason Rudolph to pick apart their secondary. Many are not high on him this year, but he has the ability to do so. If Shane Buechele is not protects & in turn makes mistakes. If Vance Bedford refuses to give the freshmen their shot.

This is a little off topic but any word on Tom Herman?
Lol not that I've heard. I can tell you this. He wants the Texas job. He will take it if it's open. LSU is appealing, but I think they will take a Jimbo Fisher or Art Briles. He is a west coast guy, so don't be surprised if he looks into the USC job when it is available.

The way I look at it if Strong and Bedford is smart, they need to come into this mentality like they coach each remaining game like it's there last game
Tell that to Bedford. He said he "wasn't surprised" he was not demoted and that he "will not change anything." He better hope he changes some things.

I've been hearing that from multiple people lately. The way I look at it he was a GA at Texas from 1999-2000 and he said he learned offense from our former OC Greg Davis. But I don't have one doubt in my mind that if the job is open he'll take it in a heart beat. And I also don't see him going to LSU either. Why leave Texas: A state with no state income tax for Louisiana

He could also just have a preference to play in the Big 12 over the SEC's of the world. Completely different styles of play. He would benefit immediately off of Strong's talent pool. Herman was not shy about wanting the Texas job. It's up to Charlie to keep him from taking it.

In regards to the conference preference I would much rather play in the BIG 12 than the SEC. He could potentially dominate this conference with Strong's talent

I agree. However, LSU's roster is LOADED.
No doubt that LSU squad is LOADED. Something Les didn't take advantage of. If Strong does get canned after the season and we're still able to lock down some strong recruits in the state of Texas this program will have some deep talent.

Any chance we will see Mr.Fowler in action?
I haven't heard much on Fowler. I have heard that he is getting more and more reps in practice. It is possible that he will see action, but I would expect him to start out on special teams. It is a good sign to see he has been getting meaningful and increased reps.

Will Anthony Hines pick the good guys the same day as Browning and leave the Hammster searching for answers and dumb founded like last year with Jeff McCulloch?? Definitely has McCulloch feel to it the way lil' Hammy is crowing about Hines to aggy.
