Word on Kelly is that he would not have qualified at Texas so they stopped pursuing.  He's not a 'grade risk' but he didn't have the right credits to get admitted to Texas - similar to the Lampkin issue.

Not sure about Tuesday, but may need to take off work on Thursday too depending on how Wednesday goes. Based on everything we're hearing a see a hangover coming on Thursday.

 
Just remembered I have an eye appointment in Houston on NSD. DAMN, I was looking forward to enjoying the process from the couch with an adult beverage or two.

What's up fellas....and shotime. Here's what I got, my guy keeps saying that there's a secret player that nobody is talking about that is one of our silent commits, he says to expect a few guys to come out this week as well, the message that this staff is sending is change and competition, every player on the roster will be given every opportunity to contribute, the administration has already promised Coach Strong 2017 too so there isn't that much worry on his part. Also caught wind that A&M was telling certain players that they were SEC guys and they could start day one, also they spent a whole lot of time trashing us and telling guys that strong was gone after this year , this rubbed a couple of guys the wrong way as they have so much respect for CS, so this weekend was another win for us. CS has been telling guys that we will win the conference next year so there's a lot of optimism on his part. Y'all should thank God for Malik Jefferson he's been doing so much behind the scenes for us, Kris Boyd too. They feel really good about a lot of what's on our board and I can confirm that the Texas staff believes these guys are in:

Kyle Porter

D Jack

Shark

Taylor

Daniels

Jones

Cuffee

Brown

Smith JR

LJH

Giles has indicated to recruits that he's in but the staff will stay on him, they know LSU is a real threat here, Giles respects the hell out of coach O. Apparently the issue with Hudson is that he really likes Baylors O-Line coach Clements and he's being promised a starting roll but Mattox and strong won't do that, he really likes Austin and initially hinted that he was in but now he's indicated that it's gonna come down to signing day, I hear the sister is a non issue he just wants what's best for him. He said that the staff is really pushing hard for Anderson, Elliott , Jackson and Fowler, he's actually saying that fowler may come back down to Austin this weekend . Jackson is gonna be one of those Daylon Mack type of battles they think he's the best edge rusher in thecountry, Elliott is all wait and see but they think that they are closer than most believe. I asked about J Mad and was told that he's Bedfords project (Vance is determined to stay in him) , they aren't worried at all about getting thier guys, they told Aucoin and Smith that they were gonna run a ton of 12 personnel (1RB and 2 TE ) to incorporate them more , they are gonna run a wide open attack next season and I'm damn excited about it. Defensively all he told me was that it's gonna be switched up , lots of moving parts , they are trying to go base 3-3-5 but still want to run some even front, that's why getting Fowler is key, they told fowler that he would be used like Eric Striker outta OU. Strong and Bedford are telling Anderson that he is a better athlete that Calvin Pryor was. They feel good about where they stand here. This coaching staff is really proud of the secondary they've built as strong felt that was the key to playing good defense in this conference. He told me about the coaching change too but asked me to sit on it, it's a hire that makes sense guys ,definitely something to get excited about. Basically the theme is gonna be to close strong and I believe this staff will do that, sorry for the long post lol I just got a lot of info. I'll be in and out of here as usual so y'all take care.

Lol D?lol I just thought about you just now. Since it's my day off I get the chance to play catch up. I feel in my gut strong is gonna win the hell out of this one. Malik and Kris have been the main stars out of this one

 
I'll be drinking Gavilyte-G and dieting all day in preparation for my colonoscopy the following morning........... so you'll know what I'll be doing.
