Quick tidbits

*Gray and Vahe are day-to-day

* Foreman will have surgery on his finger tomorrow, no timeline yet for return.

* On Miami, "It's all a rumor. We're here to build a program. That's why I came here."

* "In two years we haven't gotten better. We're not where we want to be."

also on Miami:. "I have an unbelievable job here. A lot of times, I don't know where it surfaces from."

Strong's presser today lasted around 7 minutes.  It wasn't an impromptu presser as media were alerted to it yesterday.

It's worth a watch if you haven't read quotes or transcripts of it yet.

"a couple of doctor appointments" that sounds like code for; he needs to get a second opinion. -That doesnt sound good.

Yeah i feel like Strong is leaving. He really didn't sell me on his response to the miami questions. Guy needs to look directly into the camera when he is answering those questions, instead of looking away down at the ground.

I don't know, I don't read anything into that PC other than he looked discouraged.

The looking down thing is something he always does. It's annoying but he's done it since he's been here.

Somebody has got to tell me why Strong is going to walk away from 15 million dollars to go to a place that pays less, has less administrative support, has less fan support, and isn't nealry as prestigous an institution or football program.

Well, for starters I think the entire online message board contingent of Internet coaching geniuses for Miami couldn't fill up a Whatsburger, so there's that.

I don't think he will walk away from the money. If he does leave there will be an agreement in place. I am not a fan of people who claim to be insiders but a few on OB say the money has been raised to buy him out. I guess we will see.

Strong walking away from a program after two years will be a much bigger hit to his reputation/ego than if he forces UT to fire him (if Strong leaving UT is the goal regardless).  He's getting the 15 million no matter what happens - and as I've said many times Strong doesn't strike me as the type thats going to quit - so if the plan is to pay him off to walk away I expect that going to cost a great bit more than the 15 million they already have left to pay him.

If the BMD's want to wave 20 million in front of Strong - that their right - but I think thats going to reflect very poorly on Fenves and Perrin.

We're going to critique the direction he looks on during his press conferences now?

This has been a long season.

Did you forget that Garret Gilbert was a squinter?  The Internet mob was all over that.  Stands to reason we are going to point to where Strong casts his gaze.  Get with the program Blake.  ;)

I'm going to guess this is the same crowd that finds Tony Romo's backward cap offensive.
