High School Games of interest/My schedule for this fall

Guys -

I've sat down and gone through the schedules and plan to bring you some great coverage for high school games this fall if you are into that sort of thing.  Below is a list of games I plan to attend in person, and if you find yourself at one of them let me know.  I'd love to meet you.

8/21 - Plano East (Anthony Hines) vs. Arlington Bowie (Tope Imade)

8/28 - Mansfield Timberview (Devin Williams) vs. Ennis (Trendon Rolen)

9/4 - Cedar Hill (Avery Davis, Jaylon Jackson, Camron Buckley) vs. Arlington Bowie (Tope Imade)

9/4 - Ennis vs. Guyer (Shawn Robinson) - can't decide which one i'll make yet

9/5 - IMG Academy (everyone) vs. DeSoto (Dee Anderson, Tristian Wallace)

9/11 - South Grand Prairie (Jeff Okudah) vs. Arlington Martin

9/12 - Bishop Dunne vs. Bellaire Episcopal (Marvin Williams, Walker Little)

9/18 - Trinity vs. North Shore (Eric monroe)

9/25 - Arlington Lamar (Shane Buechele) vs Arlington Martin

10/2 - Arlington Lamar vs Arlington Bowie

10/9 - Mansfield Timberview vs. Mansfield Lake Ridge (Loren Mondy)

10/16 - Burleson Centennial vs. Burleson

10/23 - Irving Nimitz vs. Irving High

10/24 - Arlington Lamar vs. North Crowley

10/30 - Ft Worth Poly vs. Lake Dallas

11/5 - Cedar hill vs. South Grand Prairie

Aaron will also be out at some games in the Houston area and of course we will be on top of the playoff matchups.

Good slate, Roach.  I'll be hitting Manvel, North Shore, Pearland, Eisenhower and some other Houston-area stuff.

Last season I found myself at more Manvel games than not.  That squad is electrifying, to say the least.

I would think that most members will be interested in highlights from the Arlington Lamar games this year. There will be high interest on how a certain QB is playing.

For sure. I live about 10 minutes from Lamar so I'm going to catch all I can. I also got a new camera for this season and hope to do some video segments.

Thanks a bunch, STP. I didn't see any other boards giving it the attention we did. I'd be glad to contribute any way they need this time around. I love me some HS ball.

I'm into high school games, big time.

In the southern part of the state, the big game should be the one between Manvel and Pearland.  Manvel won last year 45-43 and it was a war.  Manvel has more D-1 prospects than any HS in Texas.  Conversely, Pearland returns almost all of its starters from last years playoff team and an OL that avgs. 295 lbs.  They are loaded.

And,probably, the best team in the state and maybe the country will be Katy.  I know Cedar Hill is considered stronger than Bertha's breath, but Katy probably has the best team in the history of the school and that is saying a lot.

There are several teams to keep an eye on, including North Shore and Alief Elsik.  Elsik will feature a player of big UT interest in Dontavious Jackson.

As always, the Cy Fair and Klein districts will produce powerhouses as well.

this will be the first year I haven't had a kid playing football since Joeywa had hair. Gonna need to fill the void somehow.

Same here. Brandon is home now. We'll probably go to a few games together. I'm sure I'll watch Okafor a couple times this season.
