A legal battle over... Joe Wickline has apparently emerged

Can anybody recall the dollar amount paid the consultant agency for hiring Patterson?

OSU is looking pretty petty right now. It might be in Texas' best interest to simply settle before it has a chance to impact the upcoming season.

I read some more on this, and that Oct hearing date is for pretrial stuff

No need for Wick to attend

Whoever reported it first did not know what he was looking at

Actual trial, if there is one, probably wont be until 2016

Wick has moved to dismiss -- hearing date not given, but probably ~30 days.  And, since it's post-depos, it's probably a motion for summary judgement although the article doesn't say that either

"The depositions by the Texas coaches described a complicated — and sometimes confusing — sideline scenario of discussions between Wickline and Watson when the Longhorns are trying to get plays to the quarterback."

There are serious problems when your AD won't fight for the coaches on the staff. That sends a message to all coaches in all sports.

Patterson very short sighted if he thinks this only involved Wickline and OSU.

Ok St wanting another round of depositions, seriously? They also want to depose Swoopes and Norvell who wasn't even on the 40 Acres last season. Need to leave the student athletes alone, as well as folks who actually coached in Oklahoma last season. Suck it Ok St.

I wouldn't be surprised if this came about because we have a new athletic director. Don't have any info just guessing.
