SignUp Now!left on the altar 20 months out?Saw the TCU commitment reported on Bleacher Report. We need to offer the Westlake kid either way, and then continue the hunt for another QB. Don't want to be left at the alter on NSD without a quality QB. Always harken back to the lack of recruitment to Brees, he has done pretty well. Can't put all of our eggs in one basket for one guy at the expense of losing out on other quality recruits (especially guys in iur backyard).
There was no thread when I started this one but they can delete this one if they want.2 threads are better than one!
Yep. I think the first QB out of Ehlinger or Mascorro we offer will commit quickly to Texas. The ripple effect from a 2017 kid will be significant - for TCU and everyone else in Texas.
Strange times, indeed.
Just having fun, not a negative towards you my friend! There was no thread when I started this one but they can delete this one if they want.
Funny, I took the opposite argument in the recruiting thread yesterday jesting that a guy who committed still had 20 months until his signing day. I turned hypocrite overnight! However, I would still offer the Westlake kid and get him committed. Thanks for calling me out my friend, I will watch my poor attitude from here on out!left on the altar 20 months out?
JR/early commits are pretty meaningless IMO, at least in the grand scheme of things. That even includes Texas commits. In today's recruiting world commitments mean nothing until NSD.Funny, I took the opposite argument in the recruiting thread yesterday jesting that a guy who committed still had 20 months until his signing day. certainly not meant as a 'call out' but commitments before the kid has suited up for his Junior year don't move the needle too much for me. Same as the ones who commit FOR UT.Funny, I took the opposite argument in the recruiting thread yesterday jesting that a guy who committed still had 20 months until his signing day. Always have to make fun of yourself before somebody else figures it out and does the same! Agree, shouldn't get worked up this early....but a commit to the Horns sure makes me feel better than to any of our competitors, and of course the $EC last place Aggies.certainly not meant as a 'call out' but commitments before the kid has suited up for his Junior year don't move the needle too much for me.
