Or even better return as the Oilers in the Luv ya Blue uniforms! I'm a Steelers fan, but sure do miss those Oilers.I'd love to see the Texans adopt an Oilers-esque look. Luv Ya Blue!

It's my understanding that the Tennessee Titans own the rights to the Oilers franchise name and all of the team's records. Put simply, the NFL wouldn't allow the new Houston team to be named Oilers. Yes, it sucks for the fans. Why did Cleveland get to keep their team name and history? Double standardOr even better return as the Oilers in the Luv ya Blue uniforms! You are correct, the Browns fans threw such a fit at Modell I think the league let them keep their records and unis. Have always thought the Titans unis are crappy and were a poor attempt to keep the Oiler colors on board. NFL owners who try to hold cities hostage for new stadiums, don't succeed, only to bail to other cities is poor. Then the cities get pissed, fund new stadiums anyways and get an expansion team. Make these clowns sell vs letting then relocate IMO. However, the league just sees dollar signs and knows how to maximize revenue.
