Coaching Changes-NCAA Football

Babers is a big name right now. He would actually be a pretty good fit at Mizzou but I'd question what kind of growth he'd see in taking that position.

If les miles is fired, do you think strong or Texas would make a run for miles or his assistants? I could see us snatching up a bunch of their recruits

I don't think you want the drama that comes with Miles. One year he's on the hot seat, the next he's rumored to be leaving for another program.

How so?

Taking a SEC job from a MAC school is the kinda leap every CFB coach tries to make. No-brainer for Babers if offered.

Because I don't realistically see him getting a school like Mizzou over the hump in the SEC. I see, despite his best efforts, a couple of mediocre years that taint his image. I think it would better suit him to go to a school like Miami, a school that is in a winnable conference with a strong recruiting pool. I'm not saying he should take the easy route. But he has a lot of momentum right now that could be drastically halted if he were to coach one of the inferior schools in the SEC.

Unless recruits are already massively buying into his system, I think he should hedge his bets in a more competitive conference with a better access to recruits. Just my opinion.
